Coorong Lagoon in the dry

Driving from Mount Gambier to Adelaide you pass one of South Australia's overlooked wonders. The Coorong National Park is a home to a vast number of migratory birds, flora, fauna and forms part of the mouth of the Murray River. At the time this image was made the area had had very little waterflow from upstream for over a decade leaving the lagoon looking very desolate.

Over Christmas I went over to France to see my sister inlaw get married, after all the festivities we managed to get away touring around France, Switzerland, Italy and Germany. It is great playing the tourist for a while, whilst I didn't know all the great places to grab the best shots of the area it didn't matter, to me as everywhere I looked there was magnificent scenery.
