Australian Gallery is the fruition of a decades work of Ian Carlson. His art is renowned for capturing spectacular colours in his stunning images and has become one of todays most exciting contemporary landscape photographers. His work has been described as ‘inspiring and unique’, capturing the mood and sheer brilliance the landscape has to offer, connecting us to a higher creative force. Carlson has had the fortune to follow two of his career dreams so far, since he was boy he developed a passion for water and nature. With an eye for detail and a healthy curiosity his love for photography and science would grow into two successful careers as a published Marine Biologist and an accomplished awarded Photographer.
Driven by a need to explore, he often draws inspiration from the landscape he discovers through his travels. Carlson’s work has been acquired by collections around the world. With his Commercial clients include international brands and agencies, tourism, hotels, architects, designers and developers, he has also been published in books and writes articles for photography magazines.

Combining an in-depth academic knowledge of the environment with a unique skill for photography, Ian captures stunning landscape images, which have been highly commended and awarded in prestigious competitions nationally and internationally.
